Life drawing at the Art Bar

Art Bar, Toronto. August 2012.

An old autumn sketchbook

Mrs. & Mr. Winkly Peep
Secretly watch each other sleep
She's fast asleep when he's awake
He snores so loud for goodness sake!
As soon as he begins to snore
She's up like clockwork to watch him once more.

(written sometime in 2001)

Nastro as you would suppose
Should have 10 fingers and 10 toes
But that is not to be the case
His 6 arms puts him out of place.

(This guy is an ongoing project for a stop motion film by Zane Knisely and I)

Bifocal Padmini and Pistol Parvati

These promos were made for Channel V by Kalpana Subramanian and I, way back in 2003.
The series is based on characters inspired from
south Indian popular culture. We invented four
fictional characters called Bifocal Padmini,
Pistol Parvathi, Romeo Raja and Why-not
Venkatesh, who are seeking a match through a
matrimonial advertisement.

Hand drawn and watercolour animation with live action.
They were broadcast as promotional films for Channel {V}. Star TV and nominated for Promax BDA in 2003.
