An ode to Jane's apartment

Greetings from Toronto,

It's hot and balmy here, and I'm loving it.

As you may know, my friend Jane Glassco passed away this April. Jane was a benevolent being, and a wonderful source of inspiration to me. Her apartment downtown has been home for me for more than three summers, and since this space is going to change, I have begun documenting aspects of this wild and magical realm.
Here are some watercolours from this sketchbook, as an Ode to Jane's apartment.

Have a wonderful summer,
Hugs,
Prash

Thank you for sharing this Prashant. As always you inspire me to draw more.

Btw if you ever take a 'Watercolour lesson'in Bangalore count me in and let me know. That is a medium which still mystifies me.

hi prashant. i have been wanting to meet you or email you but it is always just a link and i don't know how i can email you directly since i haven't figured out the mail settings with this comp. i love your drawings and watercolors and your writing. i go through the words too and try to go at even the smallest ones because i love the way you live your life. it is magic. sublime. you are a big inspiration in more ways than you could think of. i keep wanting to paint more when i see yours.. i don't know jane but her home said a lot about her. it is a beautiful place for a beautiful soul. thanks for posting your drawings of it. i love you, scribe. one day i hope to share a conversation over a cuppa with you and hold and see your drawings.. meanwhile take care and keep shining. inklove@yahoo.com

I hadn't heard about Jane's passing. How sad. Yes she was a great lady. Your paintings brought back the vibrant colours that she loved to surround herself with.
