Introducing the Prashart Blog

This blog featuring the art of Prashant Miranda is being started by one of his friends in Canada while "Prash" as he signs his paintings is touring around India and periodically mailing us pages of his sketchbook and occasional notes and thoughts about his experiences in India. I met Prashant through his work for World Literacy of Canada where he sometimes volunteers his considerable talent as an artist to create posters for our events. He is now spending some of his time in India working with literacy programs, doing murals, street art and helping craft projects. I snapped this wonderful picture of Prashant at an author reading. Our sales were lagging at the World Literacy table, he was press-ganged into making a sales pitch and desperate for a way to display silk scarves, he decided to model one as a turban.

linda,

fantastic job with the blog!! your design suits prash's style perfectly! i almost thought the dude did it himself... if you're reading this prash, you need to clear some space on your whyso email account. i've been trying to get a hold of you but my emails keep getting bounced back due to lack of inbox space. get at me!!

Thanks Hayden,

Hopefully I can work with Prashant when he gets back to customize it and then turn over the posting to him.

On the email issue.

I think what happens with Prash's account is that he sends out a lot of art to people by email and then some people's mailboxes get full and bounce it back to him filling his mailbox. It always seems to be full right after he's sent us a bunch of mail with attachments.
